Some relief for a McMaster Librarian and the University.
A 3.5 million dollar lawsuit filed against Dale Askey and Mac has been dropped.
The Mellen Press had launched the suit after Askey wrote on his personal blog that the publisher “accepted second class authors” who used poor scholarship.
Word of the lawsuit prompted an outpouring of on line outrage from scholars backing Askey's freedom of speech and expression.
