Police have made three arrests in connection with a string of more 130 break and enters involving ATM machines since the fall of 2010.
More than half of the thefts occured in Southern Ontario, stretching across a number of cities and regions including Hamilton, Halton and Niagara. The rest of them happened in Quebec.
Accused are 43 year old William Nolin of Niagara and a father and son from Laval, Quebec.
Investigators note that they allegedly used various methods of breaking into the ATM's including prying, drilling and even torching the machines.
Each of the accused faces more than 20 counts of break and enter, as well as one count each of participating in a criminal organization.
