Niagara OPP nabbed a driver who managed to travel 38 kilometres the wrong way before police stopped him early yesterday.
Police say he got on the QEW at Burlington Street heading east in the westbound lanes about 1:30 yesterday morning.
It was an MTO employee who spotted the driver and tried to stop him using emergency equipment, but the driver kept going.
The OPP officers put down a spike belt at Jordan Road and cruisers blocked the highway.
Police have charged 71 year old Danny Krill of Waterloo, with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police.
