It appears Tiger-Cats receiver Chris Williams will stay in Black and Gold.
A day after Williams tweeted about his apparent displeasure with the organization, Ticats GM and head coach Kent Austin has issued a statement.
"I spoke to Chris' agent today and have reached out to Chris. He's a great player and we're excited to coach him. We look forward to seeing him at training camp in June."
Williams was apparently upset the team wasn't willing to offer a tryout to former New Mexico State teammate Marquell Colston.
His tweet, which has since been deleted, said -- "i told them they was about to bring u on but they fired the gm bro and now im beefin with my squad im not going back."
By the way, the first Ticats pre-season game goes 3 months from today.
