Emergency crews were called to Mapleview Mall in Burlington just before 4 o'clock this afternoon for a 12 year old girl in medical distress.
She was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Police say family members were with her at the time of the incident and that the cause appears to be related to a pre-existing medical condition.
Her prognosis is currently unknown.
