A unique partnership has resulted in major upgrades to a local arts centre.
100 skilled trades students from Mohawk College have spent their March Break renovating the second floor of the Old Firehall on Wilson Street in Ancaster.
The work will continue and be completed next week.
Theatre Ancaster received a 74 thousand dollar grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to pay for materials and equipment, as well as plumbing, electrical and permit costs.
It's said to be the first time that Trillium has partnered with a community college on a renovations project.
