Five men are facing charges in connection with a sophisticated bank job in Burlington.
Halton Police say five men broke into an abandoned office building above the TD Canada Trust at Walkers Line and Fairview Street and stayed there for several days.
It's then alleged they drilled through a two-foot concrete floor into the ceiling of the bank -- and right into the vault.
Officers have recovered about 300-thousand dollars cash and several thousand dollars worth of jewellery and coins.
They've also seized concrete saws, axes and sledgehammers from two vehicles parked near the bank -- that they believe belong to the suspects.
Police are also investigating a third rental vehicle they believe was used for either lookout or storage purposes.
The five men charged with break, enter & commit theft and possession of break-in instruments range in age from 32-48.
Three are of no-fixed-address, while the other two hail from Scarborough and Caledon.
Police say the degree of sophistication involved with this crime is unrivalled and investigators are now in talks with other police services to determine if the group is responsible for any other incidents in Ontario.
