The City of Hamilton is hoping to have a say about a controversial plan for an Enbridge pipeline project that runs through Flamborough.
Enbridge wants to reverse the flow of oil from Sarnia to Montreal, in the pipeline that runs through the hamlet of Westover, near Flamborough.
The plan first needs the approval of the National Energy Board and council has already drafted a letter expressing some concerns.
Foremost is the threat of a spill and so, it's asked the NEB to insist on shut off valves near wetlands.
The city is also willing to send a representative to the hearing.
