A joint police operation in this area, which began 13 months ago, has recovered 187 stolen high end GMC vehicles.
It's called Project Shutdown and includes police in Hamilton, Halton, Brantford, Six Nations as well as the OPP.
Police say the thieves target the Silverado, Avalanche and Cadillac Escalades because their parts and tires are easy to sell off.
Police say major target spots include the Ancaster Power Centre, Mapleview Centre in Burlington, and Heritage Green in Stoney Creek.
So far, Project Shutdown has led to 63 arrests resulting in more than 200 charges.
