Lung Association PULL FOR KIDS AM900 CHML and Y108 are proud to present the Lung Association Pull for Kids! Saturday May 24 at Limeridge Mall. The Pull is a team event. Teams of 10-12 participants --10 for men’s teams, 12 for women’s and mixed teams (minimum 3 women) compete against other teams to see who can pull a pickup truck from Dewildt Chrysler in the shortest time over a pre-determined distance.

Giddy Up & Gallop To Raise Funds for TEAD Grab your runners and lace up for the 2008 edition of the Giddy Up & Gallop Fun Run scheduled for Saturday, May 31 at Mohawk Racetrack. This year’s event will benefit The Equestrian Association for the Disabled (TEAD)
The event features two individual races around Mohawk Racetrack’s seven-eighths of a mile track, one for adults and one for children under the age of 14. The event also include a BBQ, an awards ceremony for all participants and a Open House event which takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. and the harness races that start at 7:30 p.m.
A mascot race will take place at 3:15 p.m., the kids’ one lap race starts at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by the 5K race. Opening ceremonies take place at 3 p.m.

Hamilton 24 Hour Film Festival World Media Red is proud to announce the 1st Annual Hamilton 24 Hour Film Festival!
Individuals and teams can enter--and must produce an entire film, of five minutes or less, within 24 hours. The festival is taking place May 30-31st, and the screening is on Saturday June 7th. Prizes will be awarded, and include cruises on Royal Caribbean and equipment and prize packages from Hamilton Video and Sound, Fotovideo, World Media Red, and the Hamilton Media Arts Centre--The Factory. Steel Work Studios is also hoping to participate in some way. Our judges are noted industry professionals, and will provide "Canadian Idol-style" commentary on the screened films.

Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion • Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion, presented by Scotiabank, is an event that brings communities across Canada together to raise funds for solutions that improve the quality of life of people with spinal cord injury. Funds raised support a wide range of life-enhancing programs that allow people with spinal cord injury to fully participate in their community and live life to its full potential.
• The 6th annual Wheels In Motion will be held on Sunday, June 8th, 2008. Show your support, register today at www.wheelsinmotion.org.
• The local event will feature the Scotiabank Wheelchair Challenge which is a fun and exciting experience where teams compete in a relay and gain a better understanding of issues that people living with spinal cord injury face in their day-to-day lives.
o Teams race against the clock through an obstacle course and test their dexterity, maneuvering techniques, hockey skills and painting abilities. The fastest team wins. Sound easy? Perhaps not…you will have to do all this in a wheelchair!
o To participate, all you need to do is:
