Tom Cherington is most remembered for his fifteen-year stine as host of the radio program Action Line. The program was a universal four for hopes, fears, hostilities, dreams, envies, angers and concerns of the Hamilton community.
The wide appeal of Action Line was due to the personality of its host. Cherington made people think. He examined a situation, posed an opinion and then provoked a response from his listeners. He would argue with his guests in the studio and his listeners calling from home.
Tom was known as outrageous and infuriating, traits that made him one of the most provocative and engaging broadcasters in Canadian radio.
