
Born in the town of Ithaca, New York, Lee Dunbar launched his radio career in 1961 as Operations Manager and Morning Man at CJSS in Cornwall.
Lee's many broadcasting talents produced numerous and varied radio and TV programs in the U.S. and Canada, until Lee found a permanent radio home in 1967 at CHML and CKDS in Hamilton. Almost four decades later, Lee's many impressive credentials include weatherman, helicopter traffic reporter, afternoon drive and morning show host. Lee is a Musicologist and has a particular expertise in the Swing Era.
His greatest pride is his collection of over 50,000 records, CDs, 45s and 78s that he played weekly for the past 20 years as host of CHML's Silver Sundays which was renamed Memory Lane in 2002.
Lee retired in 2004 after almost 40 years at CHML.
