Ted Michaels
 
Ted Michaels is a native Hamiltonian, who is proud to be a part of the CHML News team.

Ted is a broadcast veteran, having worked in Kitchener, Brampton, Toronto and Hamilton.

He also has produced and hosted the nationally-syndicated program, “This Week in the CFL,” was a member of the CHML Tiger-Cats radio broadcast team for 2 seasons, and worked on the Toronto Argonauts radio broadcasts for one year.

And, in these days of media convergence, Ted was the CFL editor for sportsnetwork.com, a major US internet wire service.

Ted is a firm believer in community involvement, and has served on the board of Hamilton’s Ronald McDonald House and the advisory board of the Mohawk College Broadcast Journalism course.
 
 
Miles Gorrell
Few have more experience as a player in the Canadian Football League than Miles Gorrell. He was named a divisional all-star an astonishing five times over the course of his 19-year career as an offensive lineman.

The five-time divisional All-Star and two-time Outstanding Lineman finalist sits third in the history books for games played (321) from 1978 to 1996 for the Calgary Stampeders, Ottawa Rough Riders, Montreal Concordes, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He won one Grey Cup with Hamilton and played in two more with Winnipeg.

In 2004, he served as the Director of Canadian Personnel with the Calgary Stampeders. In 2006, Gorrell brought this experience to Toronto making the Argos his sixth CFL club by signing on with the Double Blue as a personnel consultant. This is Gorrell’s third season as the Argos’ Player Personnel Assistant. Gorrell is a graduate of the University of Ottawa where he played so well, the top Gee-Gees lineman each year now gets the Miles Gorrell Award for Best Lineman.
 
Miles now lives in Oakville with his wife Suzanne and their daughters, Veronica and Victoria.
