Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol: I have been an avid fan of politics for over 17 years, and at time very active politically. I care a great deal about the direction of our municipality, province and country. I also feel there is a lack of accountability in the media. It is time to 'get the right story' out. Talk radio is ever changing, and alway interesting. It caters to making the people heard.

I am sure that being on the other side would give me a perspective I do not have when listening. This would be a great experience no matter how far I go.

Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol: I have wanted to be in a broadcast communications my entire life!  I have been told by too many people over hte years that i have 'that radio voice'.  I have also been told i have 'a face that belongs on radio'...as you can see, I have a great sense of humour.  I love talking to people, i can talk comfortably to 20 or 20,000...It doesn't matter to me.  Effort, attitude and results are 3 things I know you will not be disappointed with.  This is my change, its what I have always wanted!!  Never wanted to be a movie star or a rock star, I wanted to be on Talk Radio!!  Somewhere between Roy Green and Chuck Adler would be fine by me.  Aim High, Go Big or Go Home!

Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol: Well, at the present time I'm not employed and other than some volunteering, I'm available. I'm personable a pretty good talker, been disc jockeying weddings, charity events and sports events since highschool.  Bill Sturrup was actually someone that I always wanted to emulate.
I have had some experience with radio, doing volunteer air work at Mac in 1984, I was a jouralism student at Mohawk in 77, my public school project was on "Radio" where I interviewed Bob Bratina {his wife was my art teacher), I helped teach Connie Smith how to water ski (she isn't in radio, but what the heck )and my Aunt Roxie (in her 90's) continues to tell me I have a great voice for radio.
This could be an amazing opportunity for someone. Like a "Rocky" moment, but for radio.

Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol: I would love to participate in this competition for several reasons. I really think I'd be a good candidate!
I'm a recent university graduate with degrees in Music and Media Studies. I minored in International Development. Growing up, my family lived in Charlottetown (PEI), Hamilton (ON), Port Perry (ON), Chilliwack (BC), and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I have several years of acting and IMPROV experience, I thrive on discussion, and I love articulating my views.  I am particularly passionate about the City of Hamilton--and am in the process of purchasing a property for redevelopment in the downtown core.
I'm an advocate for light rail, pedestrianizing Gore Park, and urban renewal. I am currently planning and holding the 1st annual Hamilton 24 Hour Film Festival, I operate a music conservatory (Company of Artists), and I am building a media company. Furthermore, I play in a popular pop/rock band and perform regularly across Hamilton and Toronto. I've served with Elections Ontario as a Poll Supervisor, and am very politically active--with future aspirations of holding office myself.  I believe in collaborative thinking--and that radio is an incredible medium through which to engage local populations in constructive community forums. Finally, and I promise that I'm 'not just saying it': Bob Bratina is one of my heroes.
I'd love an opportunity so participate in Talk Show Idol!
