Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol?:  It is funny you should ask. JUST the other day, my fianceé said that I should get my own talk show because I always have something to rant about. I may not know ALL the news that is going on, but when I get a bug in my ear about something that I think is off kilter, I take a go at it and challenge the everyday thinking. I have a personal quote I use in my fitness classes in my my life, "let the world we wish to be in, be a reflection of ourselves". People are willing to step up. But sometimes they need to be called to the stage.

Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol?: Other than the fact that I have a face for radio, I have been hearing for years how my voice is of a tone which people love to hear! I have a sultry, warm but strong voice..
I couldnt shut up for 2 minues if I tried!! (no dead air)!! and quite frankly I have a witty attitude, and can make people laugh. There is nothin like a girl who can "tell it like it is". Not in a Howard Stern kind of way. I have some class!

Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol?: Good morning Hamilton, you are listening to CHML, my name is Karen Johnson and I am pleased to audition for CHML's Talk Show Idol! My usual day job is Office Administrator however I have hosted many different types of events from karaoke to private anniversary parties! Knowing the listening audience you are addressing is very important in order to keep them interested and tuned in, and having a good sense of humour and speaking with a smile will never get you a bad response. I am fun, friendly and confident and look forward to this new challenge in my life!

Why I Should Be The Next Talk Show Idol?: Not only am I comfortable speaking in public, but I've had experience doing interviews and being an interviewee for radio, television and podcasts.

I have been writing a blog (http://markleslie.blogspot.com) since 2005 that attracts readers from around the world who return and subscribe to my blog feed to keep up on the eclectic selection of rants and often humorous reflections I have had as a husband, father, bookseller and writer. I would be able to easily turn many of the discussions and posts I've made into short humorous and thought-provoking rants for a show.

I would love the opportunity to become a contestant and thrill at the idea of hosting a show in which I could cover the local art, music and culture scene (with regular references to pop culture).
