About St. Joseph's
The Bay Race was established in 1897, and is the oldest road race in North America. St. Joseph’s Healthcare was established in 1890, and has a proud legacy of serving the healthcare needs of Hamilton and beyond for well over a century. This is the ninth year “running” that St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation has been the sole beneficiary of the historic Around the Bay Road Race. Funds raised support compassionate patient care and ground-breaking research at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Through community engagement, fitness and fundraising, we are all creating a healthier future for two million Ontarians who live in the region served by St. Joe’s.”
