Hamilton Bulldogs Headlines
The Hamilton Bulldogs are back on AM900 CHML.
The radio station and the AHL team have signed a new three year broadcast agreement.
“AM900 CHML is thrilled to be the new flagship station for Hamilton Bulldogs hockey”, said the station’s Brand Director Jeff Storey. “We look forward to bringing all of the hard-hitting action to our loyal audience and are committed to a long-term partnership”. Storey added, “The Bulldogs are an important part of Hamilton’s sports fabric, and being a part of their drive to win a second Calder Cup Championship is exciting.”
“We are extremely pleased to partner with Corus Entertainment for the next three years and we are very excited that AM900 CHML will be the flagship radio station for Hamilton Bulldogs hockey”, stated ‘Dogs President Stephen Ostaszewicz. “This new partnership not only provides us with an ideal platform to share the in-arena excitement of the American Hockey League with our fans on the radio and online, it also allows us to increase the exposure of our product throughout Southern Ontario.” Ostaszewicz added, “We are coming of off a successful season from a business perspective and this partnership is another step forward in the continuing growth of our brand.”
Play-By-Play announcer Derek Wills will return for his 13th season with the team and is scheduled to call all pre-season, regular season and Calder Cup playoff games on CHML and 900chml.com.
The remainder of the broadcast crew will be named at a later date.
CHML was the original home of Bulldogs when the team first came to Hamilton in 1996.
Hamilton Bulldogs regular season broadcasts will include a pre-game show, which will begin 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, and a 30-minute post-game show, which will feature an interactive call-in component, giving fans an opportunity to discuss the game.
