It’s a chance for downtown residents to have a say in how tax dollars are spent.
More than one thousand of them cast ballots this past weekend on ways to spend one million dollars in Ward 2.
In total, 21 ideas were selected are part of the participatory budgeting process including a multicultural festival, a Chinese garden and alleys turned into urban trails.
Councillor Jason Farr says he was happy with the results adding that all the projects will be good additions to the ward.
His staff will start working with city staff this week on making the projects happen.
