A Burlington man is facing several charges after ramming a couple of Hamilton Police cruisers.
Police were called to Dundas Saturday night for reports of a suspected impaired driver. When they arrived, they found a man attempting to make a 3-point turn without success.
Police attempted to stop the driver by blocking him, but the driver accelerated, pushing against the cruiser, spinning its tires and causing sparks to fly. The driver then reversed and struck the back end of another cruiser, managing to get around it and driving away.
Police followed the car to a residence where he parked and resisted arrest when the officers approached. He was placed in handcuffs and taken to hospital due to his level of intoxication.
The 41 year old is facing numerous charges including impaired driving, dangerous driving, driving while suspended and resisting arrest.
