The future of the Hamilton Children’s Museum will be in Gage Park.
City politicians have not decided whether to repair the failing structure, or build a replacement, but they have emphatically voted to keep it in Gage Park either way.
Councillors note that doing so is in keeping with the Gage Park Master Plan.
The children’s museum has been closed since July due to structural problems and repairing it is estimated to cost 400 thousand dollars.
A tourism and culture department report pegs the cost of replacing it with a new building in Gage Park at seven million. That debate will happen another day.
