McMaster University and St. Peter’s Hospital are teaming up on a new research project.
A dedicated team of experts are focusing on the best ways to improve our lives as we age.
They’ve established the St. Peter’s Geriatric Education and Research in Aging Sciences Centre.
The goal of the centre is to improve the quality of living for seniors with chronic diseases through innovative research.
Officials will also look at educating health care professionals who care for seniors.
The so-called GERAS Centre comes at a good time, given the number of older adults in Ontario is projected to double over the next 20 years.
