Hamilton’s first transit-only lane has stalled.
The north side of King Street, from Mary Street to New Street, was supposed to become a transit-only lane at 5 o’clock this morning.
But overnight rain forced city workers to abandon plans to paint the bus lanes on the road.
So for the time being, all five lanes of King Street are open to traffic.
The transit-only lane is part of a one year pilot project.
There is no word from city officials as to when the lane markings will be painted.
