Michael Sullivan’s family has issued a public appeal, three months to the day after the disabled Hamilton man suffered a life-ending head injury when he was knocked from his bike by the driver of a pickup truck.
Michael’s sister Teresa Mummery believes somebody knows who was driving the truck on the afternoon of July.29th, when some “misinformation” led the male driver to chase the 51 year old victim down, slamming into his bicycle in a parking lot off Barton Street, just east of Gage.
Michael suffered a severe head injury and remained in a coma until he was taken off life support earlier this month on October.19th.
Teresa adds that her brother was a “caring human being”.
She describes the events leading to his death as “an evil act”.
The suspect vehicle, a black F-150 pickup, was seized last Monday. Detective Peter Thom adds that it had recently been sold by the registered owner. He adds that police are in the process of finding out “which hands the truck has passed through”.
