A 33 year old jogger has suffered life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a suspected impaired driver in downtown Hamilton.
It happened early Wednesday evening, as the victim was running across the road at Charlton Avenue near Wentworth Street South.
She was rushed to hospital by paramedics who had already started life-saving measures at the scene.
Police were already responding to the area, after another motorist called 9-1-1 to report the suspected impaired driver while downbound on the Jolley Cut.
Police add that a 42 year old Hamilton man, Joseph Warren, blew three times over the legal limit at the police station.
He was also found to be in possession of marijuana and is facing numerous charges.
