Hamilton’s loss pretty much started with the opening coin toss of Grey Cup 101.
After getting on the board first in the opening minutes it was pretty much downhill from there as the Roughriders gave the tabbies a lesson in championship football 101.
The family set up the TV trays, after attending a weekend hockey tournament for my daughter.
I held off doing this commentary on that because I thought the Grey Cup would be more entertaining, and I guess it was, if you’re a Roughrider fan.
Before the first half was even over the family was putting pressure on me to flip over to the opening of the American Music Awards.
Only Hedley at the half time show brought them back, all be it, only until J.T. accepted an AMA.
Once Saskatchewan hit 31 points they were out and it was hard to make the argument to stay.
Although they loved the half time show.
Only in the prairies would you see flipping snowmobiles and flames while the band plays!
Unfortunately the only thing from Hamilton to blow the lid off the dump was the Sheepdogs during pregame, and that they did.
Saskatchewan will be partying until the spring thaw, it’s how they stay warm.
For us, a new season in a new stadium.
I’m Scott Thompson.
Monday on The Scott Thompson Show!
