The Hamilton Bulldogs with a big 2-1 win against the Toronto Marlies.
Hamilton opened the scoring at 11:52 of the first period as captain Martin St. Pierre scored on the power play from Blunden and Beaulieu.
The Dogs led 1-0 after the first period and held a slight 9-8 lead on shots.
Just into the second period the Dogs would add another goal as Martin St. Pierre added his second of the game from Thomas and Holland.
With about four minutes to play in the second Hamilton’s Nick Tarnasky took a four minute penalty and the Marlies cut the lead in half. The Toronto goal scored by Korbinian Holzer.
That would be the last of the goals as both teams were scoreless in the third period.
With the win The Bulldogs are now tied with the Marlies in the North Division standings.
The Bulldogs will host the Lake Erie Monsters Sunday afternoon at Copps Coliseum.
