Just before the holidays, a Dundas family has been left homeless after a 225-thousand dollar fire in their Parkside Avenue house.
No one was injured, but Hamilton’s Fire Service says the home is pretty well gutted.
Fire officials say the blaze started in the basement yesterday afternoon and went up the walls into the upper floors making it a difficult fire to knock down.
The cause is not yet known.
In the meantime, the family is staying with relatives.
