Southern Ontario had its first big snow storm of the season this past weekend, like I need to tell you.
Snow storms come with all the negative connotations one would presume, including tragedy.
But sometimes they slow down life enough that they make you appreciate it a bit more..
Saturday morning I woke up to find out the kids hockey practices had been cancelled. Gee I’ve never had a Saturday open before.
After learning major highways were closed or crawling due to multiple car accidents that pretty much snuffed out the annual gathering a few high school buddies and families have every year at this time. I’m sure many parties were altered or cancelled due to the storm.
So what’s left to do?
How about spending quality time with family finishing decorating the tree or house? How about shoveling the driveway?
What a drag when the only thing left to do is toboggan…!
At one point the kids in the snow started singing Christmas carols…
Isn’t that what the holidays are all about?
Too bad it takes a snow storm to slow us down and appreciate life.
