One lane of Claremont Access may stay closed

Hamilton, ON, Canada / AM900 CHML | Hamilton News

Greater safety and lower traffic volumes are cited as two reasons why one lane on the Claremont Access may never open again.

The right downbound lane has been closed for two years after a rock slide and the city’s Engineering Services Director Gary Moore says it will likely stay that way.

He says there have been no backups and the closure provides a buffer zone between the rock face and the rest of the road.
