A three year old boy has been removed from his east end Hamilton home after he was reportedly found living in squalid conditions with his mother and grandmother.
The Children’s Aid Society was alerted after police were called by neighbours about a foul smell coming from the home in the Parkdale and Melvin area.
The CAS says the home was not fit for human residency, adding it was filled with garbage, dead animals and feces.
The SPCA and Hamilton police are also involved in the “ongoing” investigation.
The CAS says there are mental health issues and it’s not known at this point whether any charges are pending.
The boy is said to be doing well despite being found covered in feces and flea bites.
