Hard to keep track of who is fighting who???

Hamilton, ON, Canada / AM900 CHML | Hamilton News

There seems to be so much conflict in the world it’s hard to keep track of who is fighting who.

The Gaza Strip, Syria, Iraq, so much so, that the fate of those Nigerian school girls at the hands of Boko Haram, has slipped from our conscience.

Where we live; it’s easy to shake your head, feel bad, and then decide what’s for dinner.

But when Malaysian Airlines flight  17 was shot down with passengers from so many uninvolved countries, including this one, we all realize how easy it is to get caught up in someone else’s conflict.

The reality of today’s war is, it’s hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys, or where they’re from.

If there is any positive shred of light to come out of this horrific tragedy, it’s made us all very aware of what a global village we live in.

A war in any part of the world, affects us all.

It may take a community to raise a child, but it takes the world to secure its future. Especially nowadays.

  1. It’s too bad the UN is as powerless as the “League of Nations” was , when it couldn’t stop the rise of Adolph Hitler. These countries don’t give a flying fig about what the World thinks of their stupid wars. Human suffering means absolutely nothing to these maniacs in power. It’s been that way since the emergence of Man. We are very lucky here in the West. All we can do – and SHOULD do is to try to get these fools to see the way of Peace and moreso – continue to defend our Borders with modern weapons to keep our way of life safe. It seems a shame, but I’m out of other ideas.

  2. This World is in turmoil for the Leaders of all Western countries and the EU are weak and fearful of making hard decisions to protect their citizens. All the wars currently are from MUSLIM Countries.
The Jihad is their only quest and to die is perceived as being a Martyr. Prime example Gaza residents are acting like human shields to advance Hamas to conduct the war against Israel.
We have slipped back to the 4th century and the Persian Wars!

    Just Saying……….
