Ticats quarterback Dan LeFevour is the CFL’s Offensive Player of the Week.
In his first career start in the CFL, LeFevour threw for 361 yards and rushed for 109 yards to lead Hamilton over Ottawa 33-23 last Saturday.
LeFevour is the first CFL quarterback to throw for more than 350 yards and rush for over 100 yards since Buck Pierce on July 9, 2010.
He is also just the seventh Tiger-Cats pivot to rush for over 100 yards in a game, joining Bernie Faloney, Frank Cosentino, Chuck Ealey (three times), Ken Hobart, Damon Allen and Casey Printers.
LeFevour will make his second career start this Thursday night on AM900 CHML when the Cats host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMaster University’s Ron Joyce Stadium.
The CFL’s other award winners this week are Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive end John Chick (Defense), Roughriders linebacker Samuel Hurl (Canadian) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers kicker and punter Lirim Hajrullahu (Special Teams).
