Upgraded Charges Against a Brantford Police Officer

Charges against a Brantford Police Officer will be upgraded after a West Hamilton incident on Monday.

It follows the death of a 27 year old Dundas man who was passenger in a Jeep.

He was found lying in a pool of blood on Emerson Road near Main Street West early on Monday morning.

Joey Flaherty died Tuesday afternoon and the family consented to the donation of his organs.

33 year old Ryan Grant was originally charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and impaired driving.

Grant will be charged with impaired driving causing death at his next court appearance on September 23rd.
