A crash in Oakville has left one person dead and three others in hospital.
It happened in the Toronto bound lanes of the QEW at Ford Drive at around 8 o’clock Sunday night.
OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says three cars struck some debris that was lying on the highway.
When they pulled over examine the damage, a fourth vehicle hit the same debris and then veered into the pedestrians who had gotten out of their cars.
A woman, 54-year-old Nurten Kaska, died at the scene and a male was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Police say two other males suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The highway re-opened at around 4 o’clock Monday morning.
