There have been several tributes to David Lane around the city council table.
The long-time Executive Director of the John Howard Society passed away suddenly last week at the age of 65. A “celebration of life” was held on Wednesday at Bay Gardens.
Mayor Eisenberger talked about Lane’s legacy, noting that transformative justice is the “hallmark of what he’s left behind”. The mayor adds that if we’re a worthy society, “we will take heed of some of the lessons”.
Councillor Jason Farr agrees that the man he called “night train” told it like it was, and “educated a lot of us in the process”.
