Ward 2 Councillor Jason Farr is looking forward to getting rid of another “eyesore”.
The developer who has received praise after turning the former Stinson School into condos, now owns the Cannon Knitting Mills in the heart of the Beasley neighbourhood.
Harry Stinson sealed the $3-million deal for the Cannon and Mary Streets property on Wednesday.
Farr looks forward to the transformation, noting that the property has sat as an eyesore for too long.
Stinson plans to build a boutique hotel, restaurant, condos and commercial units when he redevelops the property at a projected cost of 20-to-30 million dollars.
