There may be a new lease on life for an infamous Hamilton property.
The lot at 350 Wentworth Street North was discovered to contain a cache of toxic waste barrels three years ago, hidden in a secret room.
A month ago, the property was sold through a city tax sale.
The new owner Jasbir Singh Kular has promised to clean up the site.
Ministry of the Environment district manager Geoff Knapper says there is already a clean up plan submitted.
City records indicate the property was listed at just over $265,000.
The amount of the outstanding taxes was sold for $266,000.
