Phase two of the Gore Park facelift should be done by the end of October.
The area from James to Hughson has been fenced off for the latest part of the multi-year development.
Construction crews got the Central Garden Block three weeks late, but the completion target remains.
The “Pedestrianization Initiative” phase will be mostly structural; including drainage and installation of catch basins, as well as electrical services.
The $1.7 million phase will also include two 9-metre high beacons; one in the southwest corner of the park and another at the east end at Catharine Street.
