Ontario’s Progressive Conservative Party is apologizing after a training session for young party activists in Hamilton sparked complaints.
Officials behind the Conservative Leadership Foundation event have received 40 complaints from participants and their parents.
The session from August 12th to the 14th at McMaster University’s Les Prince Hall was marred by a shoe-throwing incident, abusive and sexist language, and attendees being denied adequate food and water.
More than 100 youth members paid between $295 and $395 to attend the event that was designed to prepare young Tories for the rigors of a campaign.
The party says it will conduct a review of the training program.
