As students prepare to return to class, the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board is out with a new vision.
“Curiosity”, “creativity” and “possibility” are the buzzwords following what board chair Todd White calls a sweeping review of the way that public schools serve students, parents and their communities.
White says the review has identified five areas where they can do better including creation of a positive culture and well-being.
Also identified as areas for improvement are student achievement, communication, partnerships and school renewal.
The new vision was unveiled during an event at Mohawk College on Tuesday morning, which included a presentation from Juno Award winning musician and creativity expert David Usher.
