Hamilton, Burlington, and most of Southern Ontario, continues to swelter under a Heat Warning.
The warning from Environment Canada stretches from Windsor to the GTA.
The weather agency says our region can expect temperatures in the low 30s and humidex values in the low 40s again Wednesday.
And it looks as though we’ve broken a record with this heat.
32.8 degrees out at Hamilton International at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon is more than enough to beat the old record of 31.2 from 2007.
A gradual cooling is expected to begin Thursday but hot and humid conditions will linger in Hamilton.
The elderly, infants, and people with chronic illnesses such as breathing difficulties, heart conditions or psychiatric illnesses are at greatest risk of heat-related illness.
