They were looking for redemption, and they got it.
After losing 6-4 to the Sudbury Wolves Friday night, the Hamilton Bulldogs fed the Wolves a 4-2 loss at the FirtOntario Centre Saturday.
Sudbury scored early on a power-play, but the Dogs were quick to respond with a goal less than 2 minutes later.
The Wolves fought to gain a 2-1 lead halfway through the second, but Hamilton would take a 3-2 lead to the dressing room after forty minutes with a power-play goal of their own.
The Bulldogs got some insurance in the third when Mackenzie Entwistle scored short-handed to secure a victory for Hamilton.
Hamilton’s goaltender Kaden Fulcher was named the first star after weathering a barrage from the Wolves. He faced 21 shots in the third, and made 21 saves.
With the win the Bulldogs remain perfect on home ice at 3-0 improving their regular season record to 7-3.
It’s another three in three weekend ahead.
The Bulldogs take on Kitchener Friday October 21st before returning for two at home at the FirstOntario Centre. Saturday October 22nd at 7 pm they play North Bay with the London Knights in for the Pink in the Rink game on Sunday October 23rd at 2 pm.
