A new lease on life is being mulled over for a section of Kenilworth Avenue.
The city is being asked to consider expropriating a number of derelict stores in the area with an eye towards a new mixed use development.
But the exact block on Kenilworth under consideration has not been revealed.
That was discussed behind closed doors.
When asked by the Spectator, all area councillor Sam Merulla would say is that the properties are in a commercial district but not currently being used for commercial purposes.
He hopes the plan could turn a “problem area” into safe, legal living space atop revamped merchants and other commercial development.
