Investigators say they are getting “mixed cooperation” from family members as they search for a Hamilton woman of Jordanian-descent who was last seen in 2006 and is believed to be the victim of foul play.
The search, at this point, involves ATV’s, the mounted unit and officers on foot.
They’ll be joined on Tuesday by cadaver dogs, ground-penetrating radar and even a drone as police search for evidence and potentially a body on a 50 acre property on Concession 8 West in Flamborough.
Detective Sergaent Peter Thom says Nuseiba Hasan was last seen when she was “brought” to the property in the fall of 2006.
The farmhouse was owned by her family at the time, but was sold following the death of her father a few years ago. Nuseiba’s disappearance was reported to police by a family member early last year.
Thom adds that some family are living in southern Ontario while others are in Jordan. He stresses that they are keeping their options “wide open” in regards to both suspects and motive.
