Gas prices have jumped about 5 cents a litre in Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara and the GTA.
Most gas stations hiked the price to 109.9 overnight.
Prices jumped after a major oil pipeline explosion in Alabama on Monday.
GasBuddy.com analyst Dan McTeague predicts gas prices will fall by 3 cents Friday.
But McTeague says drivers can expect a permanent 5 to 6 cent-a-litre increase in 2017, because of Ontario’s new cap-and-trade regulations and cleaner gasoline initiatives.
