A candidate for a new political party will be running in the upcoming by-election in this area.
The new party is dubbed the “Stop the New Sex Ed Agenda Party.”
It’s the brainchild of anti-sex-ed activist Queenie Yu, who ran as an independent candidate in a recent by-election in Scarborough.
She finished fourth with 575 votes.
She’s now running in Niagara West-Glanbrook on a platform opposing the Liberal government’s updated sex-ed curriculum.
Another candidate will be running for the party in a by-election in Ottawa.
The votes are set for November 17.
Advance polls begin Saturday and will remain open until November 11 from 10am to 8pm.
