Sound like expansion is in the plans at McMaster University, this time in the athletic department.
Mac athletic director Glen Grunwald told CHML’s Bill Kelly, that the David Braley Athletic Center will be ten years old in January and it’s become so successful, there are plans to expand it.
He points out that in the last ten years, the student population has increased from 14-thousand to 30-thousand.
The centre, which is also open the public, is one of the largest fitness centres at a Canadian university.
Grunwald also wants to build a new pool on campus, to replace the current pool, which is 50 years old.
