A cat has been placed in the care of the Lincoln County Humane Society after being thrown from a moving vehicle in Niagara Region.
Investigators say it happened just before 9 o’clock on Tuesday morning on Highway 406 in Thorold. The suspect vehicle is a Nissan four-door gray sedan.
A witness, who stopped to provide assistance, saw a cat being tossed from the driver’s side window before she landed in the median of the highway.
Nicknamed “Ellie”, the cat is on pain medication and under veterinary care.
