Bill Kelly has a solid background in media. He has over 30 years of broadcast experience and a wealth of market knowledge and passion that he will bring to the program daily.

Bill hosted a daily, nationally broadcast, interactive political talk show for 5 years on CHTV, worked as a host on CHML from 1988-1997 and was a stadium announcer for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for 13 seasons.

Bill also held a council seat in Hamilton for 9 years from 1997-2005. Bill is a graduate of Mohawk College in Hamilton.

Toronto-centric Attitude Not Wanted

I was disappointed, but not surprised, by the comments of Athletics Canada CEO Joanne Mortimer, who is asking Hostco, the Pan Am group, to move the track and field events from Hamilton to downtown Toronto.
And, let’s be clear on this.
This is not about stadium location. My guess is, she would have made the request even if the location debate had been settled.
This is about the proverbial ‘Toronto is the centre of the universe’ attitude, that we were hoping wouldn’t influence the location of the Pan Am events.
Moritimer’s rationale for moving the track events to Toronto, is because she’s heard that the stadium track might be removed after the Games and there would be no training facilities for future track stars.
That’s all well and good, except for the fact that no one at the City or, with the Tiger Cats, have talked about removing the track....
